This is a fixed term contract position covering maternity leave for a period of between 12-15 months. In this exciting role you’ll support the delivery of accurate and insightful workforce reporting, with a focus on maintaining and improving core HR data within Workday and Adaptive Planning. This role will assist in the production of regular HR metrics and dashboards, ensuring data integrity and supporting wider workforce planning activities. You’ll also assist with the continuous improvement of our recent implementation of Workday Adaptive Workforce Planning as well as creating and maintaining dashboards, reports & security within the system. Core skills we’re looking for to succeed in the role:
- Proficient in Workday: You’ll have strong expertise in workforce data and reporting. Any experience of Workday Adaptive Planning is desirable but not essential.
- HR analytics and workforce planning experience: You’ll have a proven track record working with HR analytics and workforce planning.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills: You’ll be proficient in pivot tables, formulas, PowerQuery, and data manipulation.
- Excellent communication skills: You’ll need to be able to explain data clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Data Storytelling expertise: You’ll be skilled at using data to craft compelling narratives.
- Industry experience: A proven track record in Financial Services or other regulated industries is desirable but not essential.
We’re big on working flexibly. You’ll spend most of your time working from home, with one day a week spent in the office in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. But of course, it’s your choice—if you prefer to be in the office more, that’s good with us too.
What’s involved:
- You’ll maintain accurate workforce data within Workday, ensuring regular validation and cleansing activities are carried out.
- You’ll support the production of monthly people metrics and dashboards (e.g., FTE, attrition, absence, diversity metrics).
- You’ll assist in the preparation of workforce data for reporting cycles (such as Gender Pay Reporting and annual pay reviews).
- You’ll work with colleagues to ensure consistency in skills data, naming conventions, and other key reporting fields across Workday and Adaptive Planning.
- You’ll support testing and documentation of any system changes in Workday relating to workforce data.
- You’ll help manage user queries related to workforce data and reporting.
- You’ll liaise with the People Systems team to identify and escalate data quality issues.
- You’ll provide administrative support to the Workforce Planning team as needed.
- You’ll maintain a library of regular reports, ensuring they are up to date and accurate.
- You’ll ensure compliance with internal policies, data protection standards, and regulatory requirements in handling sensitive workforce data.
Required Experience:
- Working knowledge of Workday, particularly in relation to workforce data and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent data accuracy skills.
- Previous experience in HR analytics or workforce planning.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, PowerQuery and data manipulation).
- Experience working with HR data and producing regular people reports.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain data clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Experienced at using data to tell a story.
- Experience of Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Experience working within Financial Services or a regulated industry.
