An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a pro-active and self-motivated Finance Manager to join the Central Finance Team. This position plays a leading role in evaluating and controlling our investments (whether opex or capex) and will work closely with the VP Finance roles to challenge the business on investment costs and benefits. This role will enable you to develop key relationships with the wider Rolls-Royce Team both finance and non-finance colleagues.

What you will be doing: In this exciting role, you will ensure that manufacturing processes are in full compliance to Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and meet the expectations of the Zero Harm programme, as well as:
- Orchestrate the IT/Digital, GBS and HO Investment Review Committees such that all investments are controlled, monitored, approved, and reviewed in accordance with delegated authorities.
- Critically analyse investment schemes and provide healthy challenge on areas such as strategic rationale, investment costs, benefits, ongoing run cost.
- Ensure that the business has a multi-year dynamic investment portfolio plan that covers all investments and associated benefits contained within Group affordability.
- Ensure all investments are established correctly and drive the monthly reporting to challenge the business on delivery performance, investment costs and benefits.
- Ensure in-flight and post implementation reviews are conducted for investment projects as required.
- Ensure assets under construction are capitalised on a timely manner.
- Where required, assist the IT/Digital teams with the development of business cases and work with the PMO through the gated review stages.
- Be accountable for the planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for investments across Central.
- Provide support and guidance to business leaders and non-finance teams (e.g. Project Managers) on investment cases, the lifecycle of an investment, asset accounting treatment and any updates/changes to the Group Investment Process.
