Job Overview
Vacancy at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust. We are seeking a passionate geriatric psychiatrist for a leadership role in Dover & Deal, providing comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment for the over 65 population.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric care to patients referred to Dover/Deal CMHSOP, including outpatient clinics, home visits, and reviews in residential/nursing homes.
- Conduct MCA and MHA assessments, participate in case discussions, CPA, and 117 reviews, and handle urgent clinical matters.
- Attend daily triage meetings, weekly clinical meetings, and monthly governance sessions.
- Support the team in maintaining MSNAP accreditation for Memory Assessment Service.
- Liaise with referrers, professionals, social services, and voluntary organizations, contributing to multi-agency working.
Candidate Requirements
- MRCPsych or equivalent, on or within six months of inclusion on the Specialist Register.
- Fully GMC registered, with Approved Clinician status and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act (or to be achieved within 3 months).
