Overview
Holt Engineering are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in Andover. In this crucial role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the manufacturing production equipment. The role will be site wide across multiple units, but will remain static and not be field-based.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.
- Manage the maintenance portal, scheduling work effectively and prioritising urgent repairs.
- Coordinate external maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion and compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Develop and implement a company-wide maintenance schedule to optimise equipment uptime and minimise disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of spare parts and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Support the introduction of new machinery and equipment, including planning, installation, and operator training.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted safely and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Proactively seek ways to improve maintenance processes and equipment efficiency.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering/Installation.
- 17th/18th Edition wiring regulations (BS7671) essential.
- 2391-52 Inspection & Testing qualification highly desirable.
- Strong background in reactive maintenance, with an understanding of preventative maintenance principles.
- Excellent fault finding skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Experience in a machine shop environment (lathes/mills/CNC) is beneficial.
