Summary of Job Role:EA Gibson Shipbrokers is looking to recruit a Broker to work on the Suezmax desk in our London office. For this role you will ideally have 2-3 years’ experience, be motivated and driven to succeed, and have a network of chartering/owning clients.This is a very exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their Broking career and add value to a team.Key Tasks & Responsibilities:Work alongside a growing team of brokers to build out the Suexmax desk, extending their client base and identifying and developing new potential businessBuilding relationships with clients and providing information both face to face and by phone/emailFacilitating and executing deals between parties, directly and co broking with teammatesGathering data from the market and helping to coordinate information within our bespoke technology system.Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong negotiation, problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to successfully work with challenging and demanding clients with tenacity and a high level of attention to detailExcellent customer relationship skillsPersonal Attributes:Team ethos with ability to work independently as well as in a teamSelf-motivated and driven to succeedPositive mentality and approach, proactive and shows initiativePersonal drive and motivation to accomplish business goalsFlexible with willingness to learn and develop new skillsBenefits we offerCompetitive salaryAnnual compensation review (including discretionary bonus)Generous pension scheme, with company contributions rising to 12%Private Health Insurance with option to add family membersDiscounted gym membershipsLife Assurance based on 8x base salaryFlexible working opportunitiesThe above contains the main outline of duties.
