We are looking for a part-time Finance Coordinator to join our team! This role is part-time 3 days per week, initially on a 9 month fixed term contract.
You’ll play a central role in our Finance team, responsible for supporting our Finance Manager and Chief Operating Officer with critical finance tasks that feed into the monthly management accounts. You’ll also support us with general administration and producing reports relating to our financial performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Credit control processes
- Payroll and pension tasks
- Invoicing
- Subcontractor payment and processing
- Reconciliation of various nominal accounts, such as the corporate credit cards
- Assisting with the formation of the monthly accounts
- Working with our operations and delivery teams to manage the setup and co-ordination of clients on our internal systems (SoWs, contracts, timesheets etc)
- Accounts payable processes
- Writing and maintaining finance policies and reports
- General administration
Our Finance Coordinator should have the following skills:
- Excellent numerical skills. You will be managing critical finance information, so you’ll need to know Google Sheets (or Excel) and Xero (or similar).
- Extremely high attention to detail and accuracy when working with complex accounts.
- Experience working in a finance department or similar role, including familiarity with accruals and prepayments.
- Outstanding client-facing skills. You will be communicating with our clients and teams every day and responding to their requests quickly via email so you will need to display excellent attention to detail.

The application process
The closing date for this role is Friday 14th March. The application process will consist of 3 stages, these will be:
- Submit your CV and a covering letter demonstrating your expertise
- 30-minute first-stage interview, we will ask you more about your previous work experience and skills. You’ll also get a chance to learn more about Torchbox and the role
- A 60-minute final stage interview, will be a panel interview with 2-3 members of the team. We will delve more into your experience and ask you some competency-based questions. During this stage, we’d also like you to complete a couple of interview tasks around spreadsheets and prioritisation.
