This role is a great opportunity for an individual that wants to start a career in finance and is looking for a challenging finance role. The role will give the successful candidate a wide breadth of knowledge about Warner and will allow the individual to understand how finance works with each other, and the operational business.
The sandwich year placement role at Warner Hotels consists mainly of supporting our operations finance team, hotel admin teams and occasionally the commercial finance team by completing key accounting tasks and providing reporting to support the business in their reviews and decision-making process.
What will I be doing?
- Core weekly and period end accounting entries.
- Stock reconciliations (Bars, Food, Shops and H&B) and margin calculations.
- Support our operations finance analyst in producing labour reporting and our site teams with any labour scheduling system issues.
- Support in the production of weekly reporting which supports our site and central teams in making informed decisions based on the financials.
- Month end FP&A reporting.
- Benchmarking and Competitor Analysis.
- Capital Expenditure Reporting.
- Ad-hoc analysis which may involve creating and producing reports and presentations to support the business in key decisions or answer specific hotel queries.
What are we looking for?
- Studying towards a management/business and finance degree - 2 years into a Business/Economics/Mathematics/Accounting type degree at high performing university.
- Demonstrates a drive to learn and grow within Finance.
