An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Purchasing & Logistical Support Officer to join our client’s successful team.
Who are we? We are a dynamic and fast-growing Facilities Management and Refrigeration Services business, delivering high-quality solutions to a wide range of clients across the UK. Renowned for our professionalism, responsiveness and commitment to service excellence, we continue to expand our operations and are now seeking to strengthen our Procurement and Stores function with this brand-new role, based at our offices in Daventry.

Duties of a Purchasing & Logistical Support Officer:
- Apply purchasing policies and liaise with suppliers, negotiating prices where necessary
- Prioritise and organise deliveries to customers, company stores or engineer addresses
- Ensure all purchases are accurately linked to specific job orders, enabling accurate customer charging
- Enter and maintain purchase order details on the internal database
- Communicate effectively with managers, engineers and support staff to ensure timely and correct procurement
- Manage deliveries to the warehouse, sign goods in and maintain proof of delivery records
- Record goods received in the company system
- Investigate and query discrepancies between order values and invoiced amounts
- Maintain accurate stock and materials records within the stores
- Manage engineer tool records and monitor hire equipment from suppliers
- Maintain a safe, organised and tidy workshop environment
What we would like from you:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a purchasing role, ideally within an Engineering or Facilities Management environment
- GCSE Grade 4 / C or above in Maths and English
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Confident user of Microsoft Office and database systems
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
- A full, clean UK driving licence
