Our client is looking for an experienced passionate Project Manager to join their existing highly skilled multidisciplinary team to lead on a variety of world leading space projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead entire project lifecycles, including space and ground segments, launch, commissioning, and operational delivery
  • Manage complex, multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix structure, providing strong leadership and motivation
  • Create and track project plans, schedules, deliverables, budgets, and risk registers using tools like MS Project and Earned Value Management
  • Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment
  • Prepare and manage project reviews and customer milestone payments
  • Control project finances, ensuring delivery to scope, time, and budget
  • Support bid teams by developing programme schedules, cost packs, and risk strategies for new opportunities
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • You’ve successfully delivered complex engineering or technical projects, ideally in the satellite, space, defence, or aerospace sector
  • You hold a degree (or equivalent) in engineering or a related technical field
  • You’re a natural team leader who can inspire, guide, and bring out the best in cross-functional teams
  • Your interpersonal skills shine with both customers and colleagues. You’re persuasive, articulate, and a confident negotiator
  • You’re self-motivated, results-driven, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Project planning and scheduling (Microsoft Project expertise essential)
  • Risk management and financial oversight
  • Customer relationship management
  • Understanding of commercial contracts and technical development processes
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with product assurance plans and matrix management structures
