ADAS, part of the RSK Group, is looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Planning Consultant on a full-time, permanent basis. This role can be on a hybrid basis in their Leeds office. ADAS provides ecology, arboriculture, archaeology, planning, and landscape services to a growing client base across multiple sectors.

Experience required:

  • A full driving licence and flexibility regarding work type, timing, and location.
  • Formal qualification in Town and Country Planning (Masters/Postgraduate/First Degree).
  • Full membership or eligibility for full Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
  • Relevant experience/skills, preferably within the private sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of Town & Country Planning regulations and processes in planning policy and development management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide planning consultancy services to public, private, and third-sector clients.
  • Manage planning projects, including leading planning applications, site promotions, appeals, and overseeing financial aspects like invoicing and budgets.
  • Review and comment on technical reports.
  • Prepare planning applications, draft Planning Statements, and conduct site visits.
  • Coordinate with technical consultants, statutory consultees, and Planning Officers.
  • Participate in public speaking engagements, such as planning committees and consultation events.
