Software Engineering Manager (Remote UK)

Software Engineering Manager with a passion for leading teams of teams as well as playing a key part in the delivery of cutting-edge products. Remote working (UK) with once a month in person team collaboration days at London HQ. Salary: £110-120k base salary, bonus, generous pension, 30 days holiday, healthcare plus much more on offer. As part of a Fintech success story, you will be joining a growing business (30+ engineering hires in the next 3-6 months) with a fantastic work culture. My client is searching for opportunities to perfect their processes and implement methodologies that help their teams to thrive locally and globally. The tech stack includes Golang, Python, PHP, AWS, Microservices, CI/CD, Scrum, etc. Responsibilities: Ensure the multidisciplinary software engineering teams have everything they need to deliver a fantastic product to customers and clients. Align architecture and technology roadmaps and ensure we’re building the right features and capabilities at the right time. Manage managers (tech leads) and therefore management of teams of teams. Work in a high growth fast-paced scale-up environment. Possess a hands-on engineering background. Work across both regulatory and non-regulatory sectors. Communicate effectively with all levels of the business. Lead/manage teams of engineers writing business-critical/complex solutions in polyglot/open-source languages (Golang, Python, PHP, and Java). Manage teams\’ capacity and estimation to ensure the team can provide an appropriate view of work and suggest potential completion dates.
