An early-stage, high-growth startup (10x growth in the past year, with 1M+ monthly users) is looking for a foundational Operations Lead to work directly with the founding team and take charge of scaling the business behind the scenes.
We’re building a product that makes learning radically more engaging — a fresh, gamified approach to mastering real-world skills. Think bite-sized learning meets behavioural science, wrapped in a joyful user experience. Now we need a sharp, execution-focused operator to keep things running smoothly as we scale.
What you'll do:
- Own People Ops: lead hiring pipelines, onboarding, contracts, payroll, and compliance
- Run Finance Ops: manage cash flow, P&L, invoicing, monthly reporting, and investor coordination
- Drive Operational Strategy: build scalable processes, dashboards, and reporting frameworks
- Be the force that keeps the engine running while the product and engineering teams build and grow
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a strong analytical foundation, likely with a degree in a STEM, finance, or economics field from a top university
- Brings hands-on operational experience in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment
- Is highly execution-oriented, not just strategic thinking, but rolling up sleeves and making things happen
- Communicates clearly and can seamlessly switch between detailed financial planning and building onboarding processes
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience scaling headcount from ~10 to 50+
- Previously run HR or finance functions in a fast-growth company
- A passion for learning, behavioural design, or gamified experiences
- Bonus points if you’ve built something from scratch — whether as a founder or side project
The offer:
- £60–120k salary + equity
- London hybrid (4+ days/week in office)
- Work directly with the founders and shape company-wide strategy from day one
- Be part of a mission-driven, well-funded rocket ship with real traction
If you’re a sharp operator with a bias for action and want a front-row seat at a company that’s scaling fast, we’d love to hear from you.
