We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a friendly and ambitious team at this wonderful school. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a mixed-age upper KS3 and 4 class. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT, we welcome applications from those who are passionate about making a difference to young learners. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as English Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and inclusive lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 as appropriate to your experience.
  • Inspire a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and department planning.
  • Support extra-curricular opportunities such as creative writing clubs, school productions or debating competitions.

Ideal English Teacher:

  • Be a qualified teacher with QTS (or ECT on track to qualify).
  • Have excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
  • Be committed to high expectations and raising student achievement.
  • Be reflective, proactive and eager to contribute to school life as English Teacher.
