We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our Housing team as a Welsh Housing Partnership (WHP) Coach on a permanent basis. We’re embracing hybrid working. You will regularly work between our head office at St Hilary Court, Cardiff, visit our sites and hubs, and have the ability to work from home on occasion. With the full-time role, you'll have the option of working a 9-day fortnight – have a day off every other week!

What you’ll do:

  • Working with our Welsh Housing Partnership properties, you will have a dedicated client base and be capable of building and developing a relationship with your contract holders to identify their potential and empower them to achieve their goals.
  • Using a relational model of housing, you’ll deliver an efficient and effective person-centred housing service and promote contract sustainability.
  • You’ll work with our customers to provide assistance on low-level ASB and manage ASB caseloads within your area, whilst also working with the Community Safety team and Neighbourhood Income Team.
  • You’ll be responsible for managing voids and allocations within your area, along with daily housing management queries.

We cover 7 Local Authority areas: Bridgend, Vale of Glamorgan, Cardiff, RCT, Merthyr, Torfaen, and Newport.

What you’ll need:

  • You’ll have a genuine passion and interest in what we do as an organisation and proven experience in a client service environment, to enhance our coaching approach to our customers within all remits of the role.
  • You’ll need a good standard of education, and a relevant professional housing or business qualification is desirable, but not essential.
  • Your proven experience in a customer service environment will complement your working knowledge of housing legislation and housing management.
  • Experience of customer participation in service delivery, alongside experience of working with customers in a coaching environment, would be beneficial for this role.
  • You’ll be a confident and enthusiastic person, who is committed to supporting colleagues to deliver a customer-focused housing service.
  • You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage your time effectively, as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
