This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing manufacturer with a strong reputation in its sector. About the Role:
Reporting to senior leadership, the successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing day-to-day production across a fast-paced site. You'll lead your teams to ensure targets across output, efficiency, waste reduction, and quality are consistently achieved or exceeded.
- Managing and developing production staff, ensuring clear communication, effective shift planning, and performance management.
- Monitoring and driving performance against core KPIs including productivity, waste, quality, and yield.
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality assurance, and food safety standards at all times.
- Collaborating with other departments including technical, engineering, and planning to maintain smooth factory operations.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities for cost savings or efficiency gains.
Your essential ingredients:
- Proven experience in a production leadership role within a factory setting.
- A strong working knowledge of manufacturing KPIs, Lean principles, and continuous improvement.
- Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards (e.g. BRC, HACCP).
- Excellent communication and people-management skills with the ability to lead and develop teams.
- A flexible, hands-on approach and strong problem-solving capability.
