The Head of Operations, reporting to the Account Director, is responsible for overseeing the efficient functioning of Soft Facility Services (Cleaning, Patient Catering & Waste), ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with contractual specifications and regulations.
Responsibilities include managing daily operations, coordinating between departments, and implementing policies to improve service delivery. The role involves operational planning, cost control, resource management, monitoring service quality, and stakeholder communication. Maintaining safety standards and fostering a collaborative work environment are also key. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential for addressing challenges and driving continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver a large multi-service complex contract effectively.
- Develop strategic plans and roadmaps for cleaning, catering, and waste services aligned with Mitie’s objectives, leveraging data analytics insights.
- Own the P&L for these services, focusing on both growth and profitability, and making trade-offs as needed.
- Ensure service delivery aligns with specifications and standards, meeting KPIs.
- Drive high standards of service delivery, efficiency, and quality across the portfolio.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve contractual KPIs, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, positioning Mitie as a trusted partner.
- Deputise for the Account Director when required.
- Take ownership of issues and act promptly, maintaining high standards.
- Develop operational plans to enhance service quality, profitability, and staff engagement.
