The EMEA Database Services Team consists of 3 core areas: SQLServer, Sybase, and Oracle. The group provides specialist DBA support to all Bank of America Merrill Lynch European businesses, including Private Client, Capital Markets, Investment Banking, and Research.
The team is looking for an experienced Oracle DBA to work within the EMEA Oracle DBA team to support critical databases. The EMEA Oracle Team supports over 700+ instances featuring Oracle 19c/23ai databases with RAC, ASM, Exadata, Dataguard RMAN, Oracle GoldenGate, OEM, and Oracle OID running on Exadata and Linux.
Based in our Camberley office, the EMEA Oracle Application DBA team consists of highly motivated individuals working within a global technology organisation to provide database support predominantly focused on critical Global Banking and Markets applications. We aim to maintain a global perspective while recognising and responding to regional requirements, providing innovative database solutions to critical business applications, exposure to the latest Oracle technology, and plenty of opportunity to learn and grow.
Responsibilities:
- Deal with serious and critical production Oracle database issues in a timely manner.
- Deal with change requests and end-user queries for the systems that you will be the primary DBA for.
- Knowledge of ITIL procedures and best practices.
- Experience of working within a regulated/corporate environment, preferably in financial services.
- Oracle 19c/23ai databases on ASM/RAC on Linux/Exadata.
- Oracle Exadata.
- Oracle Database Administration (Oracle 19c/23ai) on Linux/Exadata.
- Oracle GoldenGate.
- SQL / PLSQL coding.
- Performance tuning.
