We are seeking a proactive and experienced supervisor to manage, develop, and coach a team of lawyers within the Property Small Claims department. The successful candidate will ensure the team meets and exceeds financial targets while maintaining high-quality service to clients.

What you will do:

  • Ensure files are managed proactively and effectively to completion by the relevant lawyers, with deadlines met.
  • Oversee that lawyers work efficiently to meet client needs and the firm's commercial requirements, addressing any performance or conduct issues.
  • Identify, address, and escalate client complaints, risks, or compliance issues within cases, ensuring timely action and learning points are implemented.
  • Manage a team of lawyers directly, including performance management, investigations, and supporting performance improvement plans.
  • Drive and enhance individual lawyers' financial performance through effective management and support.
  • Assist the Team Manager with recruitment activities, such as interviews and shortlisting.
  • Oversee induction for new joiners and support ongoing technical development of lawyers.

Who you are:

  • Previous supervision or team management experience, especially with lawyers in complex roles, is advantageous.
  • Sufficient technical knowledge to supervise the allocated team effectively.
  • High compliance with DAC Beachcroft Group protocols and procedures.
  • Proven achievement of personal financial targets.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Effective people management skills, including motivating, coaching, and mentoring at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple demands and deadlines.
  • Confident communication skills, both oral and written, at all levels.
