Job description
SCADA Engineer (Solar & BESS)
Location – Remote
Salary – Competitive
Our client is a market-leading Renewable Energy company based in the UK with a global presence, mainly invested in large-scale BESS and Solar Farm projects.
Responsibilities:
• Develop new SCADA designs, enhance current designs, and provide standard SCADA solutions.
• Offer cyber security solutions for sites.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to provide designs for SCADA panels.
• Manage all communications and SCADA designs and documentation.
• Create signal lists including necessary I/O, communications, and other signals.
• Design network architecture and site-wide communication diagrams.
• Integrate systems such as batteries, inverters, PPM/PPC, aggregator (plant commercial operator), trackers, PV optimisers, SCADA APIs for metering, and BESS systems.
• Perform field audits (FATs) on all SCADA and telecom panels.
• Enhance the business capabilities of the SCADA system.
• Assist subcontractors with HMI configuration.
• Support the commissioning of SCADA systems.
• Own RTU setup.
