Prime Appointments is currently searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic Garden Assistant to join our diverse client's team located on the outskirts of Colchester, on a temporary basis. Own transport is required due to the location.
Garden Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily nursery tasks, including planting, watering, pruning, and propagating plants.
- Monitor plant health, identifying any signs of pests or diseases and taking appropriate action.
- Assist with stock management, including inventory tracking, restocking, and rotating plants.
- Support with the loading and unloading of deliveries, as well as the preparation of customer orders.
The Ideal Garden Assistant:
- A genuine interest in plants and gardening, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Physically fit - Heavy lifting involved.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy, outdoor environment.
- Previous experience in horticulture or a similar role is a plus, but not essential as training will be provided.
Hours & Pay:
Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:30 Β£12.21 p/hour.
