From refuse collection to gritting and sweeping, you'll drive specialist vehicles and lead a small, dedicated crew making a real difference every single day.
What You'll Need:
- Valid Class 2 HGV Driving Licence
- CPC qualification
- Experience with refuse trucks, gritters, or sweepers ideal
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- A passion for public service
- Solid knowledge of Health & Safety and road safety in busy environments
- Confidence to lead a small crew, delegate tasks, and manage route performance
- Ability to use in-cab systems and digital devices to record service updates and incidents
- Great communication skills for teamwork and polite interaction with the public
- Flexibility & physical fitness - comfortable working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and in all weather
- A passion for cleanliness, customer service, and representing the Council with pride
