Role Summary The Project Engineer 2 will support routine construction and field execution responsibilities for construction projects, utilizing fundamentals, standards, processes, resources, and tools. Responsibilities include general construction management, punch lists, and executing self-perform work to understand the building process and JE Dunn\’s project execution. All activities support JE Dunn\’s strategy, vision, and values. Key Role Responsibilities – Core Participate in safety and quality culture, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment. Engage in project QA/QC planning to ensure quality. Assist in estimating, change management, and review of proposals. Support site activities like monitoring crew size, materials, and equipment. Participate in punch lists, inspections, safety reviews, and documentation. Post drawings and specifications with the latest information. Organize and participate in project meetings, preparing necessary documentation. Support reporting activities such as daily reports, progress reports, and schedules. Perform site observations and support project closeout activities. Apply best practices in building and construction techniques. Build relationships with tradespeople and project team members. Understand support roles across the company and collaborate effectively. Incorporate Lean practices and identify self-perform opportunities. Key Role Responsibilities – Additional Core Implement safety plans and promote compliance. Support preparation of estimates, schedules, and logs. Pre-plan crew activities and update schedules. Assist with project administration and managing subcontractors. Coordinate with internal support functions. Control costs and improve processes. Support QA/QC planning and project documentation. Develop and maintain crew schedules and analyze project costs. Mentor less experienced team members. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Accurate and timely work performance. Strong communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office. Understanding of organizational structure and resources. Knowledge of Lean processes, construction technology, and management fundamentals. Ability to assess and optimize productivity and build relationships. Education Bachelor\’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Equivalent relevant experience considered. Experience Minimum 2 years construction experience. Working Environment Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Potential travel or relocation. Willingness to work non-traditional hours.
