Role: Plater/Fabricator and Sheet Metal Worker
Location: Based in Thetford, Norfolk
Working hours: Monday to Friday, Full time hours, 8am - 4.30pm
Capacity of role: Temporary to Permanent position
Rate of pay: Up to £20.00 per hour
Our client is a sub contractor who is looking to add to their workshop team with a Plater/Fabricator/Sheet Metal Worker. Applicants will have previous working experience in a similar position and will be flexible to working hours as and when the business requires.
Main duties will include:
- Specialising in cutting, shaping, and assembling different types of metal for constructing or repairing structures or parts.
- Carrying out following blueprints or design sketches, often in close coordination with design teams or engineers.
- Preparing metals for fabrication or assembly. This stage includes cleaning, stripping, degreasing, or preheating the metals to achieve the desired results.
- Reading engineering drawings to identify customer specifications.
