With a reputation for quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction, we are expanding and looking for a skilled Canvas Fabricator to join our dynamic team. Position Overview:We are seeking a reliable and experienced Canvas Fabricator to assist with the design, cutting, sewing, and assembly of custom products. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and experience working with industrial sewing machines and a range of materials. Key Responsibilities: Measure, cut, and sew materials according to specifications ( on site precision cutting table) Operate industrial sewing machines and hand tools safely and efficiently Read and interpret design plans, templates, and customer requirements Perform quality control checks to ensure high standards are met Assist with installations as needed (on-site or off-site) Maintain a clean and safe work environment Requirements: Prior experience in canvas fabrication or similar field (e.g., upholstery, sail making, automotive trimming) Skilled in using industrial sewing machines and other relevant tools Ability to read drawings, patterns, and measurements accurately Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Physically fit and capable of manual handling A positive attitude and willingness to learn and work in a team environment A valid driver’s license (preferred) Competitive wage Supportive team and positive work environment On-the-job training and career development How to Apply:Please send your resume and a brief cover letter to mailto:travis@petermay.co.nz or reply to this ad.Applicants must have a current NZ work permit We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experience.
