Location: East Midlands – On-site Project: FPS – Unreal 5 Responsibilities: Art Pipeline & Production: Supervise and refine the art pipeline to ensure seamless asset integration. Monitor assets for quality assurance before production deployment. Facilitate daily communication between teams to maintain alignment. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality content. Outsourcing & Team Management: Oversee outsourced art production, including feedback loops and quality assurance. Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to maintain consistency. Adjust the size of internal and external art teams as needed throughout the project lifecycle. Support recruitment and team expansion, ensuring the onboarding of appropriate talent. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between the Art Director and the Production Director. Advocate for artistic quality while ensuring production efficiency. Participate in daily stand-ups, working within a hybrid Agile/Waterfall workflow using JIRA. Manage feedback cycles efficiently between art and production teams. Skills & Qualifications: Experience in AAA studios is preferred with exposure to outsourcing pipelines. Previous experience as an artist with strong production knowledge. Individuals who have transitioned from Lead Artist roles into outsourcing/production are highly suitable. Strong technical understanding of art pipelines and production constraints. A keen eye for quality, ensuring only top-tier assets proceed to production. Ability to handle critical feedback in a direct and collaborative environment. Experience managing art deliverables in a fast-paced game production. Artistic Direction & Style: Experience working with a realistic art style is preferred.
