Description

The Financial Accountant will:

  • Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory financial requirements.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end financial close processes.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
  • Oversee and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
  • Support audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective budget management.

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
  • Experience in financial reporting and compliance within a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate financial information clearly.
  • Familiarity with the not-for-profit sector would be advantageous.
