As they continue to strengthen their compliance function, they are looking for a Compliance Manager with essential insurance sector experience to ensure full adherence to industry regulations and best practices. The Role The Compliance Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the company’s compliance framework, ensuring that regulatory obligations are met across all operations. This individual will work closely with key stakeholders to monitor risks, implement policies, and provide expert guidance on compliance matters. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements. Monitor and assess regulatory developments, advising senior management on potential impacts. Conduct internal audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate risks. Ensure compliance with FCA regulations, GDPR, Solvency II, IFRS 17, and other relevant insurance regulations . Provide compliance training and guidance to employees across various departments. Collaborate with claims, underwriting, and legal teams to embed compliance within operations. Act as the key point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors. Key Requirements Insurance sector (personal lines) experience is essential – Candidates must have a strong background in compliance within the insurance industry. Minimum 5+ years in compliance roles within the insurance or financial services sector. Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, including FCA, GDPR, Solvency II, and IFRS 17 . Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Professional compliance qualifications (e.g., ICA, CRCM, or equivalent) are highly desirable. Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and proactively address risks.
