Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Stores Operator to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with the company’s Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability policies, reporting any potentially dangerous issues or faults to your direct Team Leader or Production Manager, including but not limited to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Ensuring quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time, and at the lowest possible cost, in accordance with the company’s quality, safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Demonstrating a positive attitude towards training and personal development.
- Monitoring process performance to ensure maximum output at all times.
- Carrying out and documenting quality control checks for each job, completing all production paperwork.
- Working as a team to achieve departmental targets, company goals, and customer deadlines.
What you’ll be doing:
- Picking and packing sales orders in the Stores department.
- Picking parts and tubes from locations in stores to be built into hoses by the Assembly department.
- Packing parts and tubes for export to distributors and self-assemblers worldwide.
- Issuing parts and tubes on Transform orders to other internal departments.
- Conducting weekly stocktakes of parts and tubes in stores.
- Retrieving tubes from racking using VNA articulated forklift trucks.
- Using counterbalance forklift trucks in the cold stores and yard.
- Maintaining housekeeping to keep the department safe, tidy, and presentable.
Skills/Experience:
- GCSE Maths and English.
- Warehouse/Stores experience.
- Computer literacy.
- Good communication skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Counterbalance forklift truck certification.
- VNA articulated forklift truck certification.
- Stock control and goods-in experience.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and keen attention to detail.
