We are looking for a Consultant to join our Consulting Division in our London or Edinburgh office. You will be providing bespoke consulting services and solutions to help our clients address their most critical business challenges and make better commercial decisions.
Our Consulting division includes more than 100 specialists working across the globe within the upstream, gas, power & renewables, downstream, chemicals, metals and mining sectors. Our consultants offer a powerful combination of natural resources expertise and commercial consulting skills, partnering with clients to provide actionable recommendations that deliver results. We work with a range of clients including national and major oil companies, operators, investment banks and institutional investors.
About the role: Our consultants are part of a pool of resources which is assigned to different projects, working for our more senior Project Managers and Project Directors. This gives you fantastic exposure and development opportunities, working alongside colleagues across the global team and the different specialist practice groups: upstream, gas, power & renewables, downstream, chemicals, metals and mining. The role will have a primary focus to the chemicals sector with opportunities also in other sector work.
You will input into a range of consulting projects, through the operation of sophisticated internal models and tools, developing new analysis and creating presentations and reports. You will extract and analyse data from internal and external sources such as databases, websites, industry interviews and Wood Mackenzie products. You will maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across the business, from whom you can learn more about consulting and the sectors we operate in. You will support practice and business development by working with colleagues to create consulting project proposals and marketing offerings that can be taken to clients.
You should have a passion for delivering quality service to clients and thrive in a collaborative, commercial and client-centric environment. You have a desire to grow your capabilities and enjoy working as part of a project team where you can deepen your industry knowledge and consulting skills.
- An understanding of the energy sector, industry dynamics, commercial operations, business models and strategies would be beneficial.
- Good analytical skills β you are comfortable with data and modelling.

- A reputable Bachelor or Master qualification in a relevant, numerate subject.
- Knowledge of Mandarin and/or other Asian languages is advantageous.
