TEXO Recruitment is proudly supporting a specialist engineering client in their search for an Electrical Design Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business that provides tailored electrical control solutions across a range of industrial sectors.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of bespoke electrical control panels and systems, supporting projects from initial concept through to completion. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position that would suit an individual with strong AutoCAD skills and a background in industrial control panel design.
- Produce accurate and detailed electrical schematic drawings using AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred).
- Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for each project.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements and technical specifications.
- Assist with Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), ensuring completed panels meet all design and functional requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the design process and assist with documentation and project handover.
Qualifications:
- HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (preferred).
- Demonstrable experience in the design and manufacture of industrial control panels.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, component selection, and panel layout.
- Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
