About The Team

Runnymede Council has created a number of new roles as part of our digital transformation and increased income services. These are roles for people with a keen interest in IT and administration. The roles are varied and within this new team there are opportunities for learning new skills and progression. This is a small Local Authority where you have the opportunity and resources to make a difference to service users. We are a passionate team who care about our residents and the service we provide. You will be joining a supportive, friendly Housing service that provides IT support across all the areas within the Housing Department and continually explores every opportunity to improve processes, whilst ensuring that all income streams are maximised. The team's focus is on continued improvement of the Housing integrated IT system, managing upgrades and offering online access to tenants and leaseholders to digitally transact.

About The Role

As part of this team, you will develop specialist knowledge across all the system modules, that manage all areas of Housing, including allocations, tenancies, repairs and rent accounting. Armed with this knowledge the team provides support to all users on day-to-day issues, processes and training. The team works at a fast pace with priorities frequently changing to support current business needs with critical tasks and ongoing system maintenance and development. The workload covers multiple different areas within Housing, with administrative tasks to support the income and expenditure, system build and configuration changes, providing key performance indicators, security updates and system enhancement research. As a Housing Systems & Revenue Assistant you will be supported by Housing Systems & Revenue Officers within the team, to provide an income collection service and IT system support for the Housing Department.
