Purpose of Position: An experienced, passionate, and professional individual, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment. The Production Planner will work within the Supply Chain team to create an efficient production schedule, coordinate material call-off requirements, and maintain optimum inventory levels. The role requires strong analytical skills and effective communication to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) such as 98.5% OTIF (On-Time In-Full) and stock at risk minimisation are achieved.
Responsibilities, primary, not limited to:
- Create a production schedule to ensure new sales orders and stock transfer orders are planned efficiently, meeting customer delivery dates.
- Daily communication with manufacturing to monitor adherence to the production plan and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Collaborate with the material call-off team to incorporate material supply challenges into the production plan.
- Manage and report on inventory levels, ensuring compliance with business-defined targets and escalating anomalies (safety stocks, MOQ’s, etc.) as needed.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels while ensuring delivery KPIs are met through effective stock at risk management.
- Communicate regularly with Customer Care and Transport Planning to report changes in product availability dates for customer orders.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of key product data, including lead time, MOQ (minimum order quantity), and safety stocks.
Technical Skills & Experience: Supply chain experience preferred. Previous food manufacturing experience preferred. Experience in working with M3 in a manufacturing context is an advantage but full training will be given. Excellent Microsoft Excel is essential for this role.
