This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Food Technologist to join an established retailer within the Technical / Quality function. Supporting the Technical Manager with the department compliance, quality and technical administrative duties relating to all Food & Household goods.

You will be responsible for assisting with the development of both new and existing products to ensure quality levels are met. Working within a busy Buying / Technical department, your main responsibilities as the Technologist will include;

• Working with buyers to develop new products
• Conducting technical / quality assessments of products
• Monitor supplier & product performance
• Compile product evaluations / sampling and provide feedback
• Develop & maintain relationships with supplier testing teams
• Monitor competitor activity both instore & online
• Supporting the QA Manager & Buying team with all technical queries
• Maintaining the Technical information for various product lines
• Assisting to compile technical reports
• Technical onboarding of suppliers
• Ensuring quality standards are adhered to

Key requirement for the role;

• Experienced Technologist Food & Household
• Understanding of UK Regulations & legislation
• Ability to manage various projects / deadlines simultaneously
• HACCP & TACCP Qualifications essential
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills being able to liaise at all levels
• Strong organisational skills and be able to self-manage
• Good IT skills especially Excel
