Our M&E department are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the team in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be required to undertake the following and will be given hands-on support to develop their skills further to progress their career with this business:

  • Assume responsibility for individual projects
  • Preparing outline and detailed designs for tender (specification and drawings)
  • Preparing technical reports
  • Undertaking surveys and detailed calculations
  • Direct liaison with clients and contractors
  • Attend project and design team meetings (office and site)
  • Provide management of and/or technical support to Senior members of staff in the day-to-day running of the office
  • Comply with the Firm’s Policies, Procedures and Quality Management Systems

The successful candidate’s essential requirements:

  • HNC/D or degree in relevant field (Degree is preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate design experience in consultancy or contracting
  • Understanding of current building regulations
  • Understanding of the construction industry design and procurement process
  • Understanding of IET wiring regulations 18th Edition
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, IES and Hevacomp (or equivalent)

The successful candidate should have sound verbal and written communications skills, be self-motivated and ambitious to progress. They will be capable of working as part of a team but also use initiative and manage their own workload.
