What Youâll Do
As Team Lead, Data Center, youâll assist with the daily operations of Aptumâs UK Data Center operation, ensuring high availability and reliable customer delivery. You will guide a team of technicians through day-to-day activities. Youâll help foster cross-training, assist with pre-sales support when needed, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain a resilient, customer-focused environment.
Hereâs what your day-to-day will look like:
â Lead and support a team of DC Administratorsâhandle scheduling, training, and day-to-day guidance
â Keep things runningâmonitor infrastructure, perform daily rounds, and coordinate on-site maintenance
â Own the detailsâmaintain accurate records, asset inventories, and internal documentation (Visio, CMMS, DCIM)
â Support deploymentsâprepare and execute MOPs/SOPs, and ensure adherence to safety and security protocols
â Collaborate like a proâwith internal teams, vendors, and commercial teams to support customer needs and infrastructure readiness
â Stay curiousâsharpen your technical knowledge and help improve team capabilities
â Champion our valueâuphold Aptumâs standards, ensuring every customer experience is reliable and professional
What You Bring to the Table đ
Weâre looking for someone with strong leadership skills and technical expertise, calm problem-solving under pressure, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
đč General knowledge of critical data center infrastructure (power, HVAC, electrical systems, airflow, etc.)
đč Experience guiding peers, supporting training efforts, and leading by example on the floor.
đč Skilled in Visio, Excel, and CMMS/DCIM platforms for documentation and asset tracking.
đč The ability to stay productive and engaged, including during off-hours emergencies if needed
đč Certifications: Technical diploma or relevant industry certifications are an asset (e.g., HVAC, electrical, ITIL, Uptime Institute).
