Are you an Occupational Therapist who has a passion for enabling Children & Young People to achieve their goals? If so then we have the post for you! Two exciting opportunities have arisen within the Child Health Occupational Therapy Service for recruitment of two posts either a Band 5 or Band 6 to join our team which provides a three tiered model of service delivery including universal, targeted and specialist interventions to children and young people from birth to 18 years.
The roles and responsibilities will be adjusted according to experience of the successful candidates and are reflected in the respective job descriptions and person specifications. These posts will be based within the Dundee and Angus team – one post based in Forfar (Whitehills health and community care centre) and one post based in Dundee (Armitstead Child Development Centre).
You will be required to work flexibly across NHS Tayside in a variety of settings including mainstream schools, specialist school settings, out-patient clinics, home visits, and inpatient wards. These posts will offer the post holder the opportunity to work with children with a variety of difficulties and gain specialist skills and experience in Child Health Occupational Therapy.
The post holders will work closely with a wide range of professionals and agencies including education, other health professionals and social work. We are looking for individuals who have good communication skills and are committed to multi-disciplinary team working. Applicants should have a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
The Occupational Therapy Service offers supervision, appraisal, regular in-service training and is committed to Continued Professional Development. Hours of work are: 37 per week.
