ACES is an independent provider of NHS eye care outpatient and surgical services that are delivered in the community. Working with state of the art technologies, we support the NHS, providing patients with the highest standards of clinical care. We provide a range of services including: Cataract, YAG Laser Treatment, Glaucoma, Oculoplastics and General Ophthalmology.
Your role will include:
- Undertaking pre and post-operative consultations for our cataract surgery patients.
- Overseeing glaucoma care as part of a virtual ophthalmology led service.
- Providing clinical support to our ophthalmologists in general and oculoplastic clinics.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.
- Be keen to undertake higher qualifications in glaucoma.
- Be passionate about delivering excellent patient care.
- Be articulate, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be confident and organised.
- Be happy to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Flexible working available to include full and part time opportunities with a market salary up to £60,000 FTE. Your role will be similar to that of a hospital optometrist, undertaken in a community setting, in a modern clinic, working with state of the art technology. Whether you are recently qualified or already vastly experienced, currently have or aspire to have higher level qualifications, we would like to hear from you. We have a comprehensive and rolling professional development programme, so even if you have no previous experience in an ophthalmology clinic setting, we will work with you to enhance and develop your skill set as part of a multi-disciplinary eye care team. All clinicians are fully supported by our on hand clinical services team of experienced eye care professionals and excellent local support teams.
