The Role: As a Master Planner reporting to the Sr. Director Planning Polymer Solutions, you will be accountable for understanding the demand for allocated sites and available capacities. You will ensure balance between supply and demand, develop comprehensive short, mid, and long-term plans, and optimize product flow and inventory. You will work collaboratively with Supply Directors, Product Management, Site Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and Procurement to achieve financial and business goals.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Lead Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP)
  • Optimize balance between supply and demand
  • Monitor KPIs and coordinate planning activities
  • Approve purchase orders within thresholds
  • Coach and support scheduling team members
  • Act as a backup for schedulers when needed
  • Set and monitor inventory targets to balance cost, service, and working capital
  • Plan production and raw material purchases
  • Eliminate slow-moving and obsolete goods (SMOG)
  • Drive ongoing process improvements
  • Ensure ISO 9001 compliance
  • Manage and develop team members (training, performance)
  • Lead cross-functional projects
  • Support hiring processes
  • Maintain readiness to travel as required

Creating Extraordinary Starts With:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management (Master’s preferred) and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • Strong supply chain management skills with manufacturing and distribution expertise
  • Experience managing complex planning environments
  • SAP experience preferred (Power User in APO and IBP), proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage in a matrix environment and gain support from key stakeholders
  • Excellent teamwork and relationship-building skills across departments
  • Effective prioritization, self-motivation, and decision-making abilities
  • Clear, precise, and timely communication skills
  • Proficiency in English and German
