An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and skilled Clinical Physiologist to join our friendly cardiovascular team. Our service provision covers invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.

The successful candidate will have good knowledge of non-invasive Cardiac diagnostics and will be eager to increase their expertise in Specialist Cardiology diagnostics, working towards the BSE or BHRS (or equivalent). In non-invasive cardiology, the candidate should be autonomous in all aspects of Ambulatory monitoring, Tilt table, and Exercise testing. Confidence in ECG and the ability to teach lower grades is essential. An SCST certificate or diploma would be advantageous.

In invasive Physiology, the candidate will work in the catheter lab performing LHC, RHC, and PCI with Pressure wire, working towards OCT, IVUS, Rotablation, and Shockwave; Pacing implantation including Pacing, and working towards ICD, CRT, and Left Bundle Branch area pacing, including follow-up clinics both remotely and face-to-face.

In Echo Physiology, the candidate will learn how to perform Echo to BSE standards under full supervision. The department encourages candidates to explore both specialties before deciding on a focus. We have a strong track record for training from post-degree to professional examinations, supported by a great network.

The department operates from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, with staff working a compressed 4-day week. The role includes managerial responsibilities for junior staff.
