About The Role

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Residential Care Worker to join a dedicated team supporting children and young people in a warm, safe, and nurturing home environment. What You'll Be Doing

  • Support children and young people in a safe, stable, and supportive environment
  • Build trusting relationships and encourage positive behaviours
  • Help young people with daily routines, appointments, school engagement, and recreational activities
  • Maintain clear and accurate records, including care plans, risk assessments, and daily logs
  • Ensure the home meets regulatory standards (Children's Homes Regulations 2015 & Ofsted expectations)
  • Work closely with other professionals, including social workers, schools, and healthcare providers
  • Occasionally step up as a Senior when required

  • Experience working with children or young people (preferably in a residential care setting)
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and occasional sleep-ins
