At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose – to improve people’s lives.
We are recruiting an HR Business Partner to provide a professional, proactive and responsive HR service to senior managers in the Council. The post is located with the HR & OD Advisory team and will be focused on partnering with managers in Children’s Services & Education, supported by an HR Consultant.
You should have experience of supporting services through organisational change and transformation. It is an exciting time to be partnering with Children Services and Education as new central government initiatives (such as the Stable Homes Built on Love Paper) are developed. Therefore, it would be advantageous for candidates to have an interest in how political and central government initiatives influence the design and look of the services we deliver.
In addition, the ideal candidate will understand how to develop strong relationships to meet the different needs of managers at all levels within the Council. You will be part of a larger team and will work collaboratively with your colleagues to ensure continuous improvement in HR & OD service delivery. The HR & OD Advisory team works closely with colleagues in Business Support, Recruitment and Health Safety and Well Being teams to provide a flexible resource across the whole team to ensure we continue to improve people’s lives.
If you are a qualified HR Professional, with demonstrable experience and knowledge in the following key areas:
- Business partnering with service managers
- Analysing HR data to highlight key themes trends (including identifying suitable courses of action to resolve issues)
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Knowledge of casework management including coaching & mediation
- Able to prioritise your own work and make independent decisions
Then we’d be interested in receiving your application. Above all, you must have a flexible attitude and mindset and be prepared to support your colleagues in all areas of the business.
We offer flexible working (location and time flexibility), support for your ongoing professional and personal development and the opportunity to work on cross service projects and service based change initiatives.
