The Contracts Manager is responsible for delivering site-based works and ensuring that these works are completed to a satisfactory quality and profitable standard in line with those defined by BELFOR UK Ltd operational procedures and techniques. This includes a strong focus on achieving profit targets controlling estimates, sales values, and direct costs across Residential and SME projects. The successful candidate must have experience within the insurance industry in a similar role, be financially astute, be able to manage a team of trades, and be extremely organised. Finally, they must have the ability to assess jobs from photos and produce a scope on either Xactimate or Symbility.

Duties:

  • Deliver quality end-to-end projects with the trades team and restoration technicians.
  • Plan project delivery in line with the scope of works utilising scoping tools.
  • Manage the resources efficiently and effectively in order to meet profit and productivity targets.
  • Prepare all relevant paperwork, including on-site documents, to the pre-agreed company standard.
  • Liaise with the loss adjusters, insurers, and customers to maintain excellent communication throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure good lines of communication between trades and technicians.
  • Ensure that Quality, Management, and Health & Safety procedures are both understood and fully implemented.
  • Advise insureds, where applicable, of the operation and safety of all plant and equipment including the provision of safety data sheets when necessary.
  • Respond and action any audit action with both the operative and the QM and H&S department.
  • Ensure responsibilities specific to your role as detailed within BKH L006 Health Safety and Environment Policy are complied with.
  • Travel anywhere in the UK to deliver projects.
  • Plan and deliver monthly toolbox talks for your team.
  • Ensure sufficient material stock is kept locally at the branch.
  • Arrange delivery of materials to each site to complete projects.
  • Attend training courses when provided by BELFOR UK or any other external provider.
  • Deliver training programs to BELFOR UK employees.
  • Identify and deliver initiatives to improve the end-to-end offering of BELFOR UK.
  • Understand and implement the use of new procedures and materials.
  • Manage projects on site efficiently and cost-effectively.
