A growing international M&E consultancy is seeking a Principal Security & ICT Infrastructure Design Engineer to support the delivery of complex projects within the data centre and commercial building sectors. This is a key role requiring both technical design expertise and cross-discipline coordination, with a focus on delivering innovative ICT and security solutions for mission-critical environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong design leadership and deep knowledge of structured cabling systems, fibre optics, LAN, CCTV, and access control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of Security & ICT infrastructure packages (drawings, schematics, technical specs).
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and BIM teams to ensure fully integrated designs.
  • Conduct Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessments; interpret client security requirements.
  • Design CCTV systems, access control (including biometrics), and telecoms infrastructure.
  • Oversee design development in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks (desirable).
  • Produce and review design documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Manage client communication, project meetings, and support project delivery from concept to completion.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design quality assurance.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Degree or HND/HNC in Security, ICT or related engineering discipline.
  • Strong experience in Security & ICT infrastructure design, preferably in data centre or commercial environments.
  • Familiarity with BIM, AutoCAD, Bluebeam; Revit and Navisworks experience desirable.
  • Relevant industry qualifications such as CCNA, CNIDP, BICSI, or CNet are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and technical documentation skills.
