Due to continuous growth, we are seeking an Apprentice to join the Electrical Contracting division within the Aberdeen Business Unit. A Power Network Craftsperson has responsibility for the safe construction, maintenance, and repair of the UK’s electrical power network, to provide a safe and reliable supply of electricity to the country. This role involves working at various locations across the UK’s power network.

- Inspection and Testing
- Facilities maintenance
- Electrical support to the marine industry
Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes
This qualification has been designed in partnership with SJIB to ensure relevance to the sector. Apprenticeship candidates will have attained qualifications (National 5 or equivalent) to include as a minimum Mathematics, English, and a Science. The following qualifications are attained through this apprenticeship:
- Technical Certificate C&G 2339-17 in Electrical Power Engineering Level 2
- SHEA Power (EUSR)
- BESC Basic Electrical Safety Competence (EUSkills)
The successful candidate will be required to commit to a 48-month apprenticeship with Quartzelec starting in September 2025. The apprenticeship will include block release study at Tullos Training campus, Aberdeen.
