The Team

IBB\’s Real Estate Dispute Resolution team comprises highly experienced lawyers who are dedicated solely to resolving property disputes. This makes it a leading team of its kind in London and the South East. We combine property industry knowledge with technical expertise to deliver commercially effective advice.

Job Purpose

To provide a high quality legal service to clients on all aspects of real estate dispute resolution in line with the firm’s standards of performance. Ensure exemplary client care establishing trust and confidence and demonstrate strong financial management, commercial awareness and professionalism at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a wide range of contentious property matters for clients including property companies, corporate occupiers and private clients.
  • Such disputes would include those (a) arising out of residential and commercial leases; (b) arising out of the buying and selling of land and (b) arising out of the development of land.

The successful candidate will be expected to meet the Firm’s quality standards including:

  • want to take responsibility for his/her own cases, and be happy to develop good working relationships with clients;
  • feel free to bounce ideas off colleagues, and ask questions;
  • be able to carefully analyse information and reach sound decisions;
  • seek to recognise the commercial drivers and react accordingly;
  • recognise issues and problems that may arise and adapt (keeping clients and colleagues informed where necessary); and
  • be able to listen and communicate effectively and succinctly both orally and in writing.

Develop own self-organisational and interpersonal skills so that:

  • work is prioritised and progressed; and
  • there is a balance of working on own initiative and seeking advice/guidance from others.

Person Specification

Education

  • Law degree (or conversion) and LPC.
  • Successful Admittance to the Roll of Solicitors.
  • 4-5 years PQE (indicative only). We would also be happy to consider more senior solicitors
  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate property litigation experience.
