My client is looking for an Indirect Category Buyer to work within the Indirect Business Services division. This role involves collaborating with a team of seven buyers, developing strategies, and managing relationships with international suppliers in professional services.
A key focus for this role will be Indirect Professional Services, with a particular emphasis on the finance, tax, and audit categories. They are not looking for a transactional approach but require someone with strong category management experience, capable of developing strategic plans, executing sourcing activities, and managing post-sourcing processes.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Purchasing Manager or Category Buyer, particularly within Indirect Procurement Services. Strong negotiation skills are essential, particularly around commercial issues such as terms & conditions, and the role will involve handling contracts, managing disputes, and fostering supplier relationships.
