The predicted salary is between 31300 - 37500 £ per year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated, dedicated and innovative Physiotherapists to join our workforce of rotational Band 6 Physiotherapists. Our staff rotate every 8 months between acute and community teams, covering: Respiratory, Ageing and Complex Medicine, Neurosurgery, Acute Neurology, Major Trauma, Neuro-rehabilitation, Stroke and Community Stroke/Neuro. These opportunities will also include the opportunity to rotate through MSK Outpatients.

We have strong, multi-disciplinary led teams and you will be supported by the Physiotherapy Operational and Professional Lead, Clinical Leads and other MDT colleagues.

Main duties of the job:

You will be expected to support the wider team and assist in the development of services within the MDT environment. Therefore, the ability to work as part of a team, leadership skills and experience of supervising staff and students are essential criteria. You should have significant post registration experience including experience working at a Band 5 level (or above) in both acute and community settings, covering a wide variety of speciality areas. You will be expected to join the respiratory on-call rota and contribute to weekend working. You will need to be able to demonstrate specialist knowledge in the assessment and treatment of patients; an understanding of the National Guidelines / Standards, as well as evidence of post graduate training. Highly developed communication skills, flexibility, good organisational skills and time management skills are all essential criteria. Basic IT skills are also required.

Qualifications

  • Essential criteria: BSc/Msc Physiotherapy, HCPC Member
  • Desirable criteria: Evidence of Post graduate training relevant to post, CSP Member

Knowledge and Experience

  • Essential criteria: Significant post registration experience at band 5 or 6 level across a wide variety of clinical areas to include Neuro, respiratory, MSK, and general rehab
  • Evidence of clinical experience in both community and hospital setting
  • Knowledge of national guidelines and standards with evidence of application in practice
  • Evidence of supervising students and staff in a clinical setting
  • Evidence of leading a QI/service development project or implementing service improvement in a clinical setting
  • Evidence of using advanced communication skills and ability to adapt communication
  • Understanding of MDT working and evidence of ability to challenge within the MDT in a professional manner
  • Evidence of supporting EDI within the workplace
  • Ability to travel to different geographical locations either through use of a car or access to another means of transport to travel across the trust footprint in line with the service need
  • Evidence of autonomous decision making in a clinical setting
  • Evidence of complex discharge planning and discharge pathway criteria
  • Desirable criteria: Evidence of supporting a QI/service development project or implementing service improvement in a clinical setting
  • Completion of a recognised UK based Clinical educators course
  • Evidence of NHS experience
  • Evidence of flexibility, organisational skills and time management skills in a clinical setting
