Following a period of reorganisation, this dynamic PE backed Design & Consultancy business in Central London is looking to recruit a Group Financial Accountant who can look after the financial integrity of the business by managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with statutory bodies, and supporting financial decision-making processes. This role involves collaboration with various teams and requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Key tasks include:
- Assist in the annual audit process for the group and statutory entities, prepare documentation required for auditors and respond to inquiries from auditors.
- Prepare statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAPs, coordinate with external auditors to ensure accurate filing of statutory accounts and stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and incorporate them into financial reporting.
- Prepare Group capital expenditure (CAPEX) reporting pack on a monthly basis. Responsible for reviewing inputs and preparing fixed asset schedules that drive the report.
- Head office report preparation including prepayments and accruals, insurance prepayment, payroll analysis.
- Quarterly preparation of groups VAT reports and reconciliations.
- Compile and submit ONS statistics as required, ensuring they comply with regulatory requirements.
What you'll need to succeed:
You will be a Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), possibly trained in professional services with some exposure to industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory regulations are a must as well as strong systems skills including Microsoft Excel. You will also have excellent analytical skills and lots of attention to details.
