About the Role:

The purpose of the role is to build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers including buyers, sales reps, and end users. With a positive “Can Do” attitude and by providing a high level of customer satisfaction, the candidate will meet company targets for retention, growth, and profitability while contributing to the success of the company and maintaining the reputation of Pidy at the highest level.

This role is suited to someone with a catering background who can help bring our products to life through presentation and recipe ideas. This role will report to the commercial manager and be supported by the operations director and operation assistants.

Full time role + Salary Competitive + Car Allowance + Commission & Bonus

Main Role Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and implement sales and customer retention and development.
  2. Attend exhibitions, food shows, and build relationships through networking events.
  3. Support the commercial team with culinary presentation and recipe ideas from their experience in catering to promote the Pidy brand.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure long-term success.
  5. Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients’ requirements are met.
  6. Identify and attract prospective strategic customers.
  7. Negotiate terms & promotional activity.
  8. Collect and analyse sales data and trends.
  9. Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards.
  10. Stay up to date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales.
  11. Effective communication skills both internally and externally, face to face, phone, and email.
  12. Support the commercial manager by undertaking any other reasonable duties required.
  13. Take a lead role in commercial negotiations with wholesalers.
  14. Introduce new products and implement gap analysis with upselling.
  15. Maintain administration and update relevant reporting systems.
  16. Present and demonstrate Pidy products where necessary.
  17. Attend end user customer visits with wholesaler reps & Ra Ra Days/educational days.

Key Requirements:

  1. Proven experience with fast-moving customer goods.
  2. You already have experience as an account manager and a catering background.
  3. You have an existing network in the food sector.
  4. Communication is key, both internally and externally, face-to-face, by phone, and by email.
  5. You must be prepared to travel in the UK, France, and Belgium.
  6. Have exceptional culinary skills for product presentation.
  7. Skilled at building and managing multiple relationships, internally and within our customer base.
  8. Ability to work efficiently to deadlines and resilience to adapt when challenges arise.
