Create is working with a bespoke uniform manufacturer for multiproduct designs based in West London. They are currently recruiting for a permanent part-time Gerber pattern Cutter.

Pattern Management & Production:

  • Manage and maintain all patterns from the Red Seal stage, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Organize and update the pattern library, ensuring all patterns are systematically stored and accessible.
  • Track and collect patterns from suppliers immediately after a project finishes, ensuring no patterns are lost or misplaced.
  • Refine, finalize, and grade patterns according to required specifications.
  • Resolve any pattern-related queries, liaising with internal teams and external suppliers as needed.
  • Ensure all technical specifications are up to date, maintaining alignment between patterns and spec measurements.

Made-to-Order (MTO) Management:

  • Oversee the MTO (Made to Order) process, ensuring accurate pattern creation and adjustments.
  • Develop and manage all MTO patterns, ensuring they align with individual wearer specifications.
  • Work closely with Account Managers and Production Teams to guarantee the correct fit for each MTO order.
  • Quality-check and approve all MTO garments before dispatch to wearers.

Product Development & Fit Sessions:

  • Assist the Head of Studio in creating patterns from first designs, working closely with designers to translate sketches and specifications into production-ready patterns.
  • Attend internal fit sessions, ensuring that fit comments are implemented correctly and patterns are updated accordingly at each development stage.
  • Update specification workbooks with accurate pattern measurements after any amendments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Tailoring or workwear experience highly regarded.
